Several months ago, the government passed the Fair Rental Act. One of the elements of the act is a standard lease that all landlords will be required to use. The government is currently conducting consultations about the content of the proposed standard lease.
As we continue to advocate on behalf of our members, we have submitted comments/suggestions regarding the government’s first draft of the proposed standard lease. During this process we will continue to keep our members updated and advise you of any opportunities to provide input.
